Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Michelle Steele.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Remote Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent was shot on October 5 at the encampment by Compton Creek.

She clung to life in the hospital for more than a month.
