Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Michael Daugherty.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP MICHAEL DAUGHERTY (August 28, 1991 – March 23, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 12:57 p.m.

The government investigator had initially misspelled the decedent’s name as Micheal.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Daugherty” in public records.
