(L.A.) Melanie Ramos, 15, Died in a Bathroom

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a bathroom.

The coroner’s office has identified the teenager as Melanie Ramos.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP MELANIE RAMOS (February 1, 2007 – September 13, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m.

The decedent was found on the floor of a girls’ bathroom on the campus of the Bernstein High School located in the 1300 block of North Wilton Place in Hollywood.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

* Two boys were later arrested for selling her the fentanyl-laced pill. One was 15 years old, the other 16. They sold narcotics at the nearby Lexington Park.
