Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 11-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the child as Maximiliano Hernandez Portillo, resident of West Kensington Road in the 90026.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Brain Injury, by History

Cause of Death B: Asphyxia, by History

Cause of Death C: Neck Compression, by History

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:13 a.m.

The incident happened on June 7 (Sunday) and the boy was taken to LAC+USC Medical Center where he eventually passed away.
