Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Weiss.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Gastro-Intestinal Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Sequelae of Laennec Cirrhosis

RIP MATTHEW WEISS (February 17, 1980 – October 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:26 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on January 7.

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.
