Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old White/Caucasian male.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Hokana.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries
RIP MATTHEW MICHAEL HOKANA (August 29, 1992 – October 4, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:40 p.m.
In June 2023, the decedent filed a trademark application for audiobooks and e-books in the field of suicide prevention. He had suffered a brain injury from a freeway accident in February 2021.
