(L.A.) Matthew Gonzalez, 37, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Heroin/Morphine and Alcohol Toxicity

RIP MATTHEW GONZALEZ (November 29, 1986 – January 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:40 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on February 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, subtance overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Matthew Gonzalez” in public records.
