(L.A.) Matthew Azzato, 44, Died from Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old White/Caucasian male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Azzato.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:07 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive. This is considered an accidental overdose.

The archdiocese has indicated that the decedent was homeless. He was a Gulf War veteran who served four years in the military and thereafter earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University.
