(L.A.) Masayoshi Sasaki, 77, Died From Injuries

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Masayoshi Sasaki.

Manner of Death: Natural Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma (Including Right Shoulder and Multiple Right-Rib Fractures)

Other Significant Conditions: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:28 p.m.

On July 18, the Department of Medical Examiner changed the manner of death from Natural to Accident. “Blunt Trauma” was added to the list of significant conditions. The government investigator on record is Joseph Cronin, the forensic patholgist Dr. Kevin Young.

Latest Update: Further changes were made to the record at some point, moving “blunt trauma” to the primary cause of death.

The decedent’s name is Japanese. ささき まさよし / ササキ マサヨシ

Local government authorities had the decedent’s body cremated on August 11, 2024.
