(L.A.) Marquette Scott, 32, Died at a Gas Station

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Black male that occurred at a gas station.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marquette Scott.
Manner of Death: Homicide

IG description: At approximately 11:15 pm, LAPD and LAFD responded to a reported shooting at the Sinclar Gas Station at the intersection of Manchester and Hoover. Officials arrived and located an adult male inside of the vehicle at a gas pump suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was not conscious and not breathing.
A private ambulance was at the gas station when the shooting occurred and the EMTs attempted to render aid. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to police, as the man was sitting at the pump, two black males pulled in from behind, exited their vehicle, and immediately opened fire multiple times.
Family members described the victim as innocent, hardworking, and a father of four. LAPD South Bureau homicide division is handling the investigation.
Video description: A shooting victim was found dead inside a vehicle at a gas station in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles Sunday night.
Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division units responded to shots fired around 11:09 p.m. at the Sinclair gas station located at the northeast corner of Manchester Avenue and Hoover Street.
When officers arrived at the location, they found at least one shooting victim inside of a vehicle parked at the gas pumps.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
