(L.A.) Mark Mateus, 61, Died in Santa Clarita

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk in Santa Clarita.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mark Mateus.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered drug screening, the next public update may take five to eight months.

The decedent was found unresponsive outside a bar in Santa Clarita. He had a dog with him.
