(L.A.) Mario Aguilar, 54, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mario Aguilar.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Myocardial Ischemia

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Hyperlipidemia, Congestive Heart Failure, Hypertension, Gout, and the Effects of Methamphetamine and Polysubstance Abuse

RIP MARIO AGUILAR (September 22, 1970 – May 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:45 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
