(L.A.) Mariela Hernandez, 32, Died From Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Mariela Hernandez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP MARIELA HERNANDEZ (June 10, 1992 – September 9, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:07 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in December, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
