(L.A.) Maria De Hernandez Pereria, 39, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old female that occurred on a street in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Maria De Hernandez Pereria.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

RIP MARIA DE HERNANDEZ PERERIA (January 15, 1986 – May 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:57 p.m.

California Highway Patrol said the decedent was hit by a vehicle in the area of West 228th Street and Normandie Avenue at around 9:45 p.m.

The government investigator may have misspelled the decedent’s surname, which could actually be Pereira.
