(L.A.) Maria Castellanos, 68, Died at an Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at an intersection in Huntington Park.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Maria Castellanos.

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:21 a.m.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to East Florence Avenue and Pacific Boulevard at 2:08 a.m. where they learned the woman was crossing Pacific when she was fatally hit in what appeared to be a hit-and-run collision.
