Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Latin American female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Margarita Urias.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Probable Sepsis (Clinical)

Cause of Death B: Undetermined Source and Microorganism

Other Significant Condition: Status Post West Nile Virus Infection

RIP MARGARITA URIAS (July 26, 1944 – July 31, 2004)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Of the 150,000 records made public by the county’s medical examiner, there are six that mention the West Nile Virus. The first in 2003 and the last in 2012.
