(L.A.) Marcos Kirk, 56, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Marcos Kirk.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP MARCOS KIRK (February 1, 1968 – May 31, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 7:58 p.m.

Government investigator Ernestine Burns had initially spelled the decedent’s forename as “Marcus” before changiing it to “Marcos” on June 11.

However, there is a California birth record for a Marcus L Kirk, who was born in L.A. County on February 1, 1968.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
