(L.A.) Maqueshia Colbert, 45, Died From Polydrug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black female that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Maqueshia Colbert.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Fluorofentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Lidocaine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:45 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in December.

Lidocaine is primarily a local anesthetic used in medical settings, but it is illicitly as an adulterant in street drugs. While lidocaine itself is not typically sold on the street as a standalone drug, it can be found mixed with other substances, such as meth, to enhance effects.
