(L.A.) Irene Gonzalez, 40, Died From a Chest Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a street in Lynwood.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Irene Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

RIP IRENE GONZALEZ (May 27, 1984 – September 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:55 a.m.

LASD said the shooting happened at around 5:45 a.m. in the 12500 block of Oak Street, just west of Long Beach Boulevard.

In December, authorities announced a $20,000 reward for help solving the murder.
