(L.A.) Maliaka Taylor, 13, Died in Lancaster

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 13-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the girl as Maliaka Taylor.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death A: Decapitation

Cause of Death B: Chop Wounds of Neck

The child and his sister were murdered by their parents on November 29 and their bodies were found by authorities several days later.

A jury in 2025 concluded that Maurice Jewel Taylor Sr. and Natalie Sumiko Brothwell were guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.
