Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Latino male that occurred on the 710 Freeway.
The coroner’s office identified the young man as Luciano Jauregui Galvan.

California Highway Patrol first heard about a multi-vehicle collision with possibly a KIA EV6 SUV going over the embankment at 1:01 a.m.

One Dead In Multi-Vehicle Crash On 710 Freeway
At approximately 1:02 a.m. on April 29, 2026, emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision on the northbound 710 Freeway at Del Amo Boulevard in Long Beach.
Upon arrival, responders found multiple vehicles involved with significant damage. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The condition of other individuals involved has not been released.
Authorities issued a full closure of the northbound lanes as crews worked the scene and began their investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it is unclear if speed, drugs, or alcohol were contributing factors.
