(L.A.) Leo Macy Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the baby boy as Leo Macy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Intrauterine Fetal Demise Due to Maternal Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Intrauterine fetal demise is the medical term for a stillbirth. The child’s mother was abusing drugs while pregnant.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
