(L.A.) Lazaro Torres, 33, Died on a Bike Path

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a bike path.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Lazaro Torres.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Alcohol and Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Recent Methamphetamine Use, History of Idiopathic Seizure Disorder and Schizophrenia

RIP LAZARO SANTOS TORRES (September 4, 1991 – June 27, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
