(L.A.) Audrey Overholt, 45, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Audrey Overholt. Born in Orange County. Mother’s maiden name is Baker.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Ethanol, Methrophan, and Promethazine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.

Methrophan is likely shorthand for dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant. Promethazine is an antihistamine.
