(L.A.) Lawrence Barragan, 42, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Lawrence Barragan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Mitragynine Effects; Hypertension; Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:43 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 15, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive.
