(L.A.) Laura Hunter, 62, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Laura Hunter.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Hypertensive and Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus

RIP LAURA HUNTER (June 30, 1962 – March 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
