Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Langston Herbert.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Pneumonia

Cause of Death B: Streptococcus pneumoniae Bacterial Infection

Other Significant Condition: Cocaine Effects

RIP LANGSTON HERBERT (February 7, 1967 – February 10, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:57 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
