(L.A.) Lance Hammond, 61, Died on a Walkway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on a walkway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Lance Hammond.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP LANCE HAMMOND (September 24, 1962 – September 18, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:44 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
