Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Black female that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Kylee Mitchell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP KYLEE MITCHELL (March 6, 1995 – April 5, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:26 a.m.

The decedent was hit by a vehicle in an unincorporated area bordering Hawthorne.

California Highway Patrol responded at 4:32 a.m. to 120th Street and Western Avenue in Athens.

Athens is an unincorporated community in South Central.
