(L.A.) Kyle Sherwood, 28, Died in MacArthur Park Lake

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a park/lake.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Kyle Sherwood of Washington state. He had come to California to enter a rehab facility in downtown L.A., which is just east of the Westlake neighborhood where he was found deceased.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Drowning

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:25 a.m.
The decedent was found lifeless in the lake at MacArthur Park.
LAFD firefighters and paramedics had been dispatched at 8:18 a.m. to the 2200 block of Sixth Street. They discovered the body in the northeast section of the lake.
Witnesses say the man may have been in a fight and was pushed into the water while he was still alive.
The Department of Medical Examiner disclosed in September their conclusion that this was a homicide.

As of June 6, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the possible homicide of Kyle Sherwood.
In related news, a 33-year-old man was found dead from a drug overdose at MacArthur Park in April and a 42-year-old man accidentally drowned in the lake in November.
