(L.A.) Kevon Burgess, 31, Died in Lancaster

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kevon Burgess.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP KEVON DRE BURGESS (June 3, 1994 – February 10, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday morning.

The decedent was in a standoff with law enforcement when he decided to end his life.

LASD had first responded at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, following calls about a domestic disturbance and a barricaded suspect armed with a gun in the 43900 block of Blue Sky Court. The standoff lasted approximately 15 to 20 hours.
