(L.A.) Kelly Kivett, 60, Died at a Freeway Underpass

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a freeway underpass.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Kelly Kivett.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP KELLY KIVETT (March 17, 1965 – April 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 11:25 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 15, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
