Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the infant girl as Kaylani Cooke.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Suffocation

Cause of Death B: Asphyxia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:44 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 18 the following year.
