(L.A.) Kathy Martin, 31, Died From Polydrug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Kathy Martin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine, and Cocaine

Other Significant Conditions: Asthma, Chronic Alcohol Use

RIP KATHY MARTIN (February 10, 1993 – September 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:29 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 3, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
