Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old “Caucasian” female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Karine Kostanyan.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Shotgun Wound of Chest

RIP KARINE KOSTANYAN (October 11, 1952 – May 13, 2002)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:31 p.m.

The decedent’s name is Armenian.

She was shot once in the upper torso by her son in Glendale, then taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, where she was pronounced dead.
