Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old “American Indian” male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kamal Bedi.

As usual, the government workers at the ME/C have no idea how to do the ethnic classification they were legally tasked to do. Educated Americans know that “American Indian” refers to Native American. The decedent appears to be South Asian / Desi. This inability to do basic data disaggregation creates worthless statistics.
