(L.A.) Julian Chase, 18, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Julian Chase.

Manner of Death : Accident

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Sodium Nitrite and Oxycodone

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:26 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on January 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the substances.

* Note that the government agency had initially identified the decedent as female before correcting the given gender later on.

** UPDATE: On April 11, the DME overturned their initial determination that this was an accidental overdose.
