(L.A.) Joshua Wright, 33, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Black male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joshua Wright.

Cause of Death: Myocardial Bridging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 6:36 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 21.

Myocardial bridging is a congenital anomaly of the coronary arteries where a segment of an epicardial coronary artery runs intramurally through the myocardium, effectively being “tunneled” beneath the heart muscle. This condition can lead to various clinical manifestations, including angina, arrhythmias, and in rare cases, acute coronary syndromes.
