(L.A.) Joseph Sweezy, 25, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Native American male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Sweezy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Acute Bronchopneumonia and Right Foot Cellulitis

RIP JOSEPH SWEEZY (January 31, 1999 – April 2, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:20 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
