(L.A.) Joseph Cochran, 55, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Cochran.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Myocardial Ischemia

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History Includes Radiculopathy, Opioid Dependence, Chronic Pain, Asthma, Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 3), Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

RIP JOSEPH COCHRAN (September 1, 1969 – January 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:47 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on February 16.
