Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Rosemead.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Vinalay.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

RIP JOSE VINALAY (July 29, 1990 – August 4, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:46 p.m.

Deputies were called at 11:33 p.m. Friday to the 3000 block of Gladys Avenue, between San Gabriel Boulevard and Charlotte Avenue, where they found the decedent suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
