The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Madrid Jr.

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Brain Injury
Cause of Death B: Effects of Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:44 p.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on April 3. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
Opioid overdose induces respiratory depression that can lead to anoxic or hypoxic brain injury.
