Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Lopez Ayala.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Ethanol

RIP JOSE LOPEZ AYALA (October 1, 1974 – March 28, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 2, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
