(L.A.) Jose Gomez, 49, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Gomez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JOSE GOMEZ (February 11, 1974 – April 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:30 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 5, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jose Gomez” in public records.
