(L.A.) Jose De La Torre, 57, Died From Meth Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose De La Torre.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:55 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jose De La Torre” in public records.
