(L.A.) Jose Corona, 56, Died at a Private Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Latino male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Corona.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, Influenza A Infection, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in April, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Human immunodeficiency virus is HIV, the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, commonly known as AIDS.
