(L.A.) Jose Chavez, 30, Died in a River

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a river.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Chavez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:28 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
