(L.A.) Jose Casillas, 65, Died in a Church

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Caucasian male that occurred St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Monterey Park.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Casillas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Methanol Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:48 a.m.

Methanol is a highly toxic substance often found in counterfeit liquor or industrial products.
