(L.A.) Jon’Ta Pride, 46, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jon’ta Pride.

Born in San Joaquin County.

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine and Ethanol

RIP JONTA CAPRI PRIDE (June 20, 1979 – September 6, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
