(L.A.) Jonathan Duke, 25, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old “Latino” male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jonathan Duke.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

RIP JONATHAN DUKE (October 26, 1997 – February 25, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:31 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot shot near a homeless encampment on the Coyote Creek Bike Trail in Santa Fe Springs.

Whittier police said the shooting happened on the bike path in the 13600 block of Rosecrans Avenue.
